Sound Healing Contraindications

My sound healing sessions use instruments played at a distance—not directly on the body—so while powerful, the vibrations are gentler than some other styles. Please review the following considerations to ensure a safe and supportive experience:

  • Heart Conditions / Pacemakers: Consult your doctor first and inform me before attending.
  • Metal Implants: Let me know in advance so adjustments can be made.
  • Mental Health Concerns: Sound can trigger deep emotional release. Please speak with me beforehand.
  • Sound Sensitivity: If you’re sensitive to sound, sit further from the instruments or ask for volume adjustments.
  • Hearing Impairment: You can still feel vibrations—consider sitting closer to the instruments.
  • Epilepsy: Certain sound frequencies may be a trigger. Please check with a medical professional.
  • Pregnancy: Especially in later stages, vibrations and hormonal responses may overstimulate the baby or trigger early labor. Please inform me and consider keeping distance from louder instruments.
  • Substance Use: Please come with a clear mind to support a safe and grounded space for all.

What to do:

Always inform your practitioner of any medical conditions or concerns prior to your session.

Modifications can include lying on the side with support cushions, sitting upright in a chair, using softer sounds or placing the bowls further away—especially lower frequencies—and always being encouraged to adjust, move, or step out as needed to ensure comfort and emotional safety.
